Halid, who works as a teacher in Syria, works as a shoe shiner in Turkey, and Yasmin works as a babysitter. After living alone in Turkey for a while, Yasmin takes steps to have her husband Halid come from Syria. When Halid reaches Turkey, the life he expected is not waiting for him. Halid and Yasmin struggle to obtain a temporary protection ID in Turkey. While they try to live without their identities and professions in Syria, the traumas they experienced in the past come to the surface.
